- Color concepts (continuation from 2's now with more variety)
- Shapes
- Sizes – big/small, short/tall, wide/narrow
- Numbers – counting from 1 - 20, recognizing 1 - 10 on flashcards
- Age Concepts – understands own age (can respond “I am 3 years old” when asked his/her age)
- Volume Concepts – empty/full
- Positional Concepts – in/out, over/under, top/bottom, front/back. etc.
- Alphabetic Concepts – knows ABC’s (can recognize upper case letters, and can trace over letters)
- Difference/Likeness – recognition in simple objects
Activities:
- Expression through songs, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and stories
- Two-step directions
- Age-appropriate puzzles
- Marching, running, hopping, and jumping
- Can use pencil, brush & child size scissors
Art:
- Painting, pasting, coloring, cutting (under close supervision), etc., by using different media
Recognition:
- Family members, teachers, classmates, etc.
- Self, using own name
- Fruits, vegetables, animals, and simple objects
- Names of clothing and basic body parts
Social:
- Manners — please/thank you, excuse me, may I
- Share & take turns
- Friendship — how to be a good friend Follow directions/ class rules
